Below you will find a weekly fishing report, a daily surfing report, water and weather conditions, and more information which will help you decide if the time is right to head to the water for some fun. You will also find live automatically updating pictures of Galveston Harbor and the Galveston Beach. Fishing Reports for Week of December 31, 2008 East Galveston Bay Fishing Report: Trout are fair to good while drifting shell in 4-6 feet of water on soft plastics. Redfish are good in the cuts and sloughs leading to the marsh on shrimp. Trout are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal. West Galveston Bay Fishing Report: Trout are fair to good while drifting shell and mud. Sheepshead and sand trout are fair to good around rock groins and the causeway pilings. Normally our cameras in Galveston automatically provide updated pictures of the Surf/Gulf of Mexico from the Galveston Fishing Pier and from Galveston Harbor. However, because of Hurricane Ike the Cameras stopped working. BUT FEAR NOT!!! Just like Galveston, we are rebuilding and hope to be up and running again soon!!!! Harbor Cam
